It enables you to securely control access to aws services and resources for your users . using IAM ,you can create and manage aws users and groups and we use permissions to allow and deny their permissions to AWS resources Some keywords: Roles Policies Permissions Groups Lab: Create a user Go to the  Iam dashboard   Click on users   Click on add user Lets give name as admin Select Aws access type as aws management console   Create a password by selecting custom password   Then click on permissions You can add   user to the group by creating new a group   Click on create group Give a group name and give a policies As for now give as admin...
